Summer Reading Challenge 2022

May 17-August 2, 2022


Ages 0-18

  • Register or log on to Beanstack.
  • Track every day you read, or are read to, for at least 30 minutes.
  • Each day marked as read will earn a virtual reading badge.
  • Virtual tickets will be awarded along the way. These tickets can be entered for a chance to win a prize in prize drawings.
  • Each participant who finishes the challenge (by reading for a total of 30 days) will receive a book, while supplies last.
  • Open to ages 0-18.
  • All prizes must be picked up at a Stanislaus County Library.
  • All ticketed prize drawings will be done at the end of the program.
  • Winners of the ticketed prize drawings will be contacted by August 19, 2022.

Ages 18 and up

  • Register or log on to Beanstack.
  • Earn virtual badges by reading books and writing book reviews.
  • For every badge you earn, you will also receive a virtual ticket. Virtual tickets can be entered into free drawings for a chance to win a prize.
  • Open to ages 18 and up.
  • All prizes must be picked up at a Stanislaus County Library.
  • All ticketed prize drawings will be done at the end of the program.
  • Winners of the ticketed prize drawings will be contacted by August 19, 2022.

New Horizons: 2022 Reading Challenge

Explore new horizons this year with our all ages 2022 Reading Challenge! Log your reading throughout the year to earn new badges as you step into uncharted territory, journey to distant lands, and adventure away! Remember, all reading in any format counts. 1000 Books Before Kindergarten

This free program is for infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children. We are encouraging caregivers to read 1000 books to their little ones before they start Kindergarten - a goal experts say children need to reach to help them learn to read for themselves. More information is available here.
