Plant a Seed and Read
Where: Keyes Library
When: Monday, April 14
        3:00 p.m.

Plant a Seed and Read. Gardeners of all ages are invited to participate in a community seed swap at the Keyes Library on Monday, April 14 from 3 to 5 p.m.  Swap seeds with fellow gardeners and learn tips on how to grow and save your own seeds. During the seed swap, children will also have an opportunity to plant their own seeds in a container and take it home with them to watch it grow.


Celebrate Teen Literature Day
Where: Salida Library
When: Thursday, April 17
         10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Join us in celebration of Teen Literature Day by participating in our read-in. Sign up for a time slot at the information desk. On the day of the event, we will have a special read-in area set up in the teen section of the library. Participants will receive a certificate and special treat, sponsored by the Friends of the Salida Library. This event draws attention to this very special genre, encouraging more readers. Book discussion that may arise would enhance understanding and knowledge of the reading material.


Wii Game Day
Where: Oakdale Library
Monday, April 21
         3:30 p.m.

Teens can learn tactics and teamwork while playing fun games. Games help promote teamwork skills and crafts provide a creative outlet. Books will be displayed and available for checkout.


Craft-a-Palooza for Teens and Tweens
Where: Denair Library
Tuesday, April 22
         1:00 p.m.

We are spring cleaning our craft closet. Stop by and make past crafts you may have missed or use our supplies to make something unique. Books will be on display and available to checkout.


Soda Bottle Planter Craft
Where: Waterford Library
When: Tuesday, April 22
         3:30 p.m.

Be Water-Wise. Recycle plastic bottles to make self-watering planters. Books will be on display and available for checkout.


Giant Game Day
Where: Modesto Library
Wednesday, April 23
         4:00 p.m.

Get your game on. Bring the family and play giant versions of jenga, bowling, dominos, and more. Test your hand/eye coordination with stacking cups too. Ginormous fun? You bet. Gross motor skills actively engage minds & bodies. Books will be displayed and available for checkout.


Weaving Loom Potholders Craft
Where: Waterford Library
When: Tuesday, May 6
         3:30 p.m.

Try this retro craft for some good old-fashioned crafting fun. Books will be on display and available for checkout.


Wheeeeee: We've Got the Wii for Teens
Where: Turlock Library
When: Tuesday, May 13
        4:00-6:00 p.m.

Dance, race, and let yourself "virtually go" with Wii games and fun. Books will be available to browse and to checkout.


Tween and Teen Keychain Craft
Where: Keyes Library
When: Wednesday, May 28

        1:00 p.m.

Tweens and Teens can stop by the Keyes Library to make unique keychains using Perler Beads. Books will be displayed and available for checkout.


Free Knitting and Crocheting Classes
Where: Waterford Library
When:  Wednesdays 
          3:00 p.m.
