Pencil Decorating Craft
Where: Hughson Library

         3:00 p.m.

Teens are invited to come and decorate pencils. Books will be displayed and available for checkout.

 

Minecraft Mania
Where: Turlock Library
When : Tuesday, September 23
         3:30 p.m.

Real world activities inspired by Minecraft. Create papercraft blocks or mobs. Exactly how tall IS an Enderman? Discover your world through Minecraft. Books will be displayed and available for checkout.

 

Makerspace: Teen Edition
Where: Modesto Library
When : Monday, September 29
         3:30 p.m.

Come make cool and unique buttons and melt beads into awesome designs. Books will be displayed and available for checkout.

 

Creepy Candy Count
Where: Keyes Library
When: Wednesday, October 1 - Wednesday, October 29
        Open hours

Come by the library and guess the number of candies in the jar. The closest guess wins the entire jar of candy.

 

Guess the Candy in the Jar
Where: Riverbank Library
When: Wednesday, October 1 - Thursday, October 30
        Open hours

Through the month of October, the Riverbank Library will display a big jar of candy.  Customers young and old are invited to guess the amount of candy in the jar. The winner will be the closest guess without going over. The prize for the winner will be the whole jar of candy, including the jar.

 

Game Day
Where: Patterson Library

Join us for games and crafts at the library. All ages are welcome. Games promote sharing, working together, and problem solving skills.

 

Add Some Color to Your World
Where: Ceres Library
When: Saturday, October 11
         12:00-1:30 p.m.

You bring the white shirt and we will share the supplies and know-how to create fun, colorful tie-dye shirts. Those under 16 MUST be with an adult --1 adult per child.

 

Teen Read Crossword
Where: Keyes Library
When: Monday, October 13 - Thursday, October 16
          Open hours

Teens can stop by the Keyes Library and complete a crossword puzzle to win a prize. Books will be displayed and available for checkout.

 

Perler Bead Craft
Where: Hughson Library
When: Tuesday, October 14
           3:00 p.m.

Use the bright colored perler beads to design your own projects using pegboards. Create designs for key chains coasters or just for fun. Books will be displayed and available for checkout.

 

Duct Tape Creations
Where: Turlock Library
When : Tuesday, October 14
         4:00 p.m.

Lots of colorful duct tape to choose from as you make wonderful creations, from flowers to wallets to anything that "sticks" in your mind. Books will be displayed and available for checkout.

 

Crazy Crayon Pumpkins
Where: Keyes Library
When: Wednesday, October 15
           1:00 p.m.

All ages can come and decorate pumpkins using crayons and a heat applicator. Books about pumpkins will be available for checkout.

 

Button Making Craft
Where: Hughson Library
When: Wednesday, October 15
           3:00 p.m.

Have fun designing and pressing your own large and small button pins. Sports themes, super heroes, book themes, "selfies", or other photos you provide can be made into pins that look great on backpacks, key chains, or anywhere you like. Books will be displayed and available for checkout.

 

Necklace Craft
Where: Patterson Library

           3:30 p.m.


Using paper, ribbon, and beads, make your own ghost necklace.
Books will be displayed and available for checkout.

 

Button Making Craft
Where: Riverbank Library
When: Wednesday, October 15
           3:30 p.m.

Teens and tweens will make fun 1 inch buttons to pin on their backpacks or hats. Bring small photos of your friends, family or your favorite pet. There will be colored pencils and paper to create original designs. Used magazines will also be available to use. Be creative and have fun at the library.

 

Teen Read Week Party
Where: Keyes Library

          3:00 p.m.

We will be serving pizza and making paracord bracelets as part of the Keyes Library Teen Read Week Celebration. This event is open only to teens ages 13-18. For more information call, 664-8006. Teen books and graphic novels will be promoted and on display.

 

Kumihimo Braiding
Where: Waterford Library
When: Thursday, October 16
         3:00 p.m.

Learn this Japanese form of braiding using a special disk loom. Books will be displayed and available for checkout.

 

Masquerade Masks Craft
Where: Denair Library
When: Tuesday, October 21
          1:00 - 5:00 p.m.

Drop in between 1:00 - 5:00 p.m. and make a masquerade mask. Books will be displayed and available for checkout.

 

Halloween at Hogwarts
Where: Keyes Library
When: Thursday, October 30
          3:00 p.m.

Individuals of all ages can make Harry Potter-themed crafts, participate in potion making classes, and sample sweet treats from Honeydukes. Books will be displayed and available for checkout.

 

Halloween Fun - Batman Day Replay

          3:00 p.m.

Join us for crafts, fun, and trick or treat goodies for costumed kids of all ages. Books will be displayed and available for checkout.

 

Wii Game Day

Teens can learn tactics and teamwork while playing fun games. Games help promote teamwork skills and crafts provide a creative outlet. Books will be displayed and available for checkout.

 

Teen Duct Tape Craft

Free Knitting and Crocheting Classes
Where: Waterford Library

Knitting and crochet samples

Knitting and crocheting are a blast. Whether you are a beginner or need help with a special project this fun group is here for you. Please call ahead to confirm class, 874-2191.
