Sign-ups for All-Kids Craft Fair

Open hours

Sign up September 1 –30 for the All-Kids Craft Fair that will be held Saturday, October 17. Kids ages 7 - 14 can apply to sell crafts at our 46th annual All-Kids Craft Fair. Free applications are available starting September 1 and must be turned in by September 30.

Children ages 4 - 18 will have the opportunity to build LEGO displays for the library. LEGO play helps children develop fine motor skills. Children under 4 are welcome, but must have direct adult supervision.

Come color your stress away. All ages are invited to color at the library. The library will provide coloring pages, crayons and markers. Finished artwork will be displayed.

Readers Arrgghh Amazing!  Celebrate all things pirate with Pirate Day at the Keyes Library. Children can play pin the eye patch on the pirate, make pirate ships and parrots, and pose as a pirate in pictures. Pirate books will also be displayed and available for checkout. This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Keyes Library.

This program is a part of the Salida Library's Tuesdays Are Family Days series. Children can come in their pajamas. Bring a picnic dinner and a blanket to sit on. The library will provide a beverage and popcorn. Books will be displayed and available for checkout.

What’s bugging you? Explore the science of insects while you play games and make crafts to take home, including a Bristle Bot, your own robot insect (while supplies last). This program provides an opportunity to explore science and creativity while doing hands-on activities. Simple science crafts will be available to take home.

STEAM: Clouds

Join us for a reading and discussion of Cloudette by Tom Lichtenheld.  Discussion topics will include the water cycle, as well as different types of clouds.  We will conclude with a cloud-related activity.  Children 4 and under must be supervised by a parent.
