From home (via the internet): Go to the library’s homepage, http://www.stanislauslibrary.org.  From the options on the left choose “Find/Renew Materials,” then “Magazine Articles” from the box that appears.  Select the Magazines and Newspapers option.  Be prepared to enter your library card number and the last 4 digits of your phone number.

From the library terminals: Choose “Online Databases.”  Select EBSCO Host.  Select the Magazines and Newspapers option.

Choose Databases

Select the databases to be searched by checking the small boxes next to the database titles/descriptions.  Clicking on the “More Information” link below a database title will grant the user access to database-specific search tips and other special features.  The “Title List” link will show a list of magazines or newspapers indexed in the database.

  • MasterFILE Premier: article database, 1800+ magazines/journals w/full-text.  This should be automatically checked.
  • Newspaper Source: full-text for selected U.S./International newspapers.
  • Health Source—Consumer Edition: abstracts, indexing, and selected full-text for many general health, nutrition and professional health care publications.
