  • Rules for Public Scanner Use

 

The scanner is available on a first come/first served basis. See a Magazine Desk staff member to sign up. Customers must show a staff member their Stanislaus County library card, photo ID, or high school/college student body card to use the scanner.

Customers 13 or older can use the scanner terminals. Those aged 12 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.

Customers may sign up for two (2) one hour sessions per day.

If there is no one waiting to use the scanner, customers may be allowed to stay on longer than the above-described time allotment.

If there are people waiting to use the scanner, customers will be notified that their time is up.

Customers can e-mail their scanned text or images, or save them as a Word document, but cannot access the Internet or Microsoft Word.

No free prints are available from the scanner. Black and white prints are 10¢ per page. Color prints are 25¢ per page.
