The Mayor of Waterford, Charles Goeken, will read to children following the regularly scheduled StoryTime. The Mayor’s Book Club is designed to promote early literacy. Families are invited to bring their pre-school age children to the Mayor’s Book Club. Each reading session will focus on one of the six components of early literacy development:
Print Awareness, Print Motivation, Vocabulary, Narrative Skill, Letter Knowledge, and Phonological Awareness. Advance registration is not required. Those interested are encouraged to just show up and join the fun!
